LEXINGTON - Mary R. Hylton, 80, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born to the late John Nelson and Mollie Jane Vance Brown of Buchanan County, Virginia. She married the love of her life, Frazier Blane Hylton on May 7, 1955. She worked as Bookkeeper for Palmetto Propane in Lexington, SC; in the Operations Center at Southern Bell in Columbia, SC; and, later, as a Realtor at Ronnie Wingard Real Estate, from where she retired.

Mary was born to the late John Nelson and Mollie Jane Vance Brown of Buchanan County, Virginia. She married the love of her life, Frazier Blane Hylton on May 7, 1955. She worked as Bookkeeper for Palmetto Propane in Lexington, SC; in the Operations Center at Southern Bell in Columbia, SC; and, later, as a Realtor at Ronnie Wingard Real Estate, from where she retired.
Mary is survived by her children, Frazier Blane Hylton Jr., Kay Lynn Hylton Christensen (Steve), and Robert Wesley Hylton (Jennifer); grandchildren, Haley Renee Hylton, Frazier Blane Hylton III, and Tyler Lander Hylton; brother, John N Brown (Kathleen), brother-in-law, John Gooch; many nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frazier Blane Hylton, Sr.; sisters, Dorothy M. Davis, Donna E. Gooch; and brother, Robert W. Brown.
Visitation will be held Monday May 15, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 pm at Caughman Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel in Lexington, SC. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Ebenezer Pentecostal Holiness Church, 501 Church St., West Columbia, SC at 2:00 p.m.
Mary was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved the Lord and talking with people about Him. She loved her family, hunting, and helping others. We would have loved to seen the look on our parent's faces when they saw each other as she walked through the Gates of Heaven.
