LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Wallace Raymond Blackie, 61, of Lexington, SC will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Red Bank Baptist Church with interment in Kershaw City cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September, 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Blackie was born July 30, 1956 in Sumter, SC and passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was the son of Minnie Wheeler and Wallace Raymond Blackie, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Blackie; daughter, Caitlin Blackie; brother, Curtis Blackie; mother and father-in-law, John and Betty Payne; brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Deedee Payne; nephews, Joshua Blackie, Pierson Payne and Robbie Mottingery.
Wallace was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He worked for the State Credit Union for 32 years. He was a graduate of USC and an avid Gamecock fan. He was a loving husband and father.
